Bloom Rise — Privacy Policy

Bloom Rise (“the app”, “we”) helps you track fertility, pregnancy, and your baby’s first years. This policy explains what we collect and how it is used.

What we collect

Account information: your email address and display name, used to create and sign in to your account (via Firebase Authentication, including optional Google or Apple Sign-In).
Health & wellness entries you choose to log: cycle and period dates, symptoms, basal body temperature, pregnancy logs (weight, kicks, contractions, appointments), and baby logs (feeding, sleep, diapers, growth, vaccinations, milestones).
Photos you add to memories or your profile.
AI chat messages and related profile context you send to the in-app assistant, used to generate responses (see “AI chat and third-party data sharing” below).
Purchase information (subscription status) processed by RevenueCat and the app stores. We never see your full payment details.
Device & diagnostics: push-notification token, crash reports, and basic analytics (Firebase Crashlytics/Analytics) to keep the app reliable.

Bloom Rise’s AI chat feature is powered by OpenAI. Before your first AI chat message, and again if you later revoke and re-grant permission, the app shows an explicit, non-dismissible consent screen that names OpenAI and describes what may be sent: your chat message text, and — only if you have entered it in your profile — relevant journey-stage context such as cycle/pregnancy/baby-age information and any health notes you’ve chosen to add, so responses can be personalised. You must actively consent before any message is sent; you can decline, and you can withdraw consent at any time in More → Settings → Data & Privacy → AI chat privacy. If you do not consent, the AI chat feature is not used and no chat data is sent to OpenAI. We do not send your full account profile, contact details, or other app data (e.g. photos, community posts) to OpenAI — only what is described above.

How your data is used

Only to provide the app’s features: syncing your entries across devices, personalising content to your journey stage, sending reminders you enable, and answering your AI chat questions (as described above). We do not sell your data and do not share it with third parties for advertising. The app contains no ads.

Where it is stored

Your data is stored with our service providers (Supabase for app data and photos, Google Firebase for authentication and notifications, OpenAI for AI chat processing, RevenueCat for purchases) and is encrypted in transit.

Data retention

We keep your account information and the data you choose to add to Bloom Rise while your account remains active, so we can provide syncing, tracking, reminders, and the other app features you use. You can delete individual entries in the app at any time. When you delete your account, we remove your personal data from our active systems. Encrypted backups may retain that data for up to 90 days before full deletion, unless a longer period is required by law or needed to resolve a legal claim, fraud, security, or accounting obligation.

Your choices

You can edit or delete individual entries at any time in the app.
You can withdraw AI chat consent at any time: More → Settings → Data & Privacy → AI chat privacy.
You can delete your entire account and its data: see Delete your account.
You can disable notifications in system settings or in-app settings.

Children

The app is intended for adults (18+) managing their own family journey and is not directed at children.
