Screen Mirror to TV Cast ("the app," "I," "my") is developed and operated by Ashwin Bhajan, an independent individual developer. This Privacy Policy explains what device permissions the app uses, why it uses them, and your rights as a user.

This policy applies to the iOS application "Screen Mirror to TV Cast" distributed via the Apple App Store.

        Short version: This app does not collect, store, or transmit your
        personal data to any server I operate. No account is required. No data is sold or
        shared with advertisers.

2. Device Permissions Used

The app requests the following iOS permissions solely to provide its core functionality. None of the data accessed through these permissions is collected, stored on any server I control, or shared with third parties by me.

Local Network: Used to discover and connect to Chromecast, Google TV, AirPlay, and other compatible devices on your Wi-Fi network. All communication stays within your local network. No network traffic from this feature reaches external servers I operate.
Photo Library: Accessed only when you explicitly choose a photo or video to cast. The selected media is streamed directly to your casting device on the local network. It is not uploaded to any server.
Microphone: iOS requires microphone permission as part of its built-in ReplayKit screen broadcast framework. The app does not independently record, process, store, or transmit microphone audio. Any audio captured during a broadcast session is handled entirely by Apple's ReplayKit system on your device.

3. Data I Do Not Collect

The following data is not collected, stored, or processed by this app:

Name, email address, or any account information (no account required)
Device identifiers, advertising IDs, or fingerprinting data
Location data
Browsing history or usage analytics sent to external servers
Photos, videos, or media content
Crash reports or diagnostics transmitted off-device
Payment or financial information

4. Third-Party Services

The app integrates with the following third-party platform services to deliver its core features. Each of these processes data under their own privacy policies, which I encourage you to review:

Apple / AirPlay / ReplayKit: Screen mirroring and system broadcast are delivered through Apple's frameworks. Apple Privacy Policy
Google Cast SDK: Chromecast and Google TV casting is delivered through Google's Cast SDK. When you cast to a Chromecast or Google TV device, Google's SDK facilitates the connection. Google Privacy Policy

I do not integrate advertising networks, analytics SDKs, or crash-reporting services that transmit personal data to third parties.

5. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, the legal basis for the limited device-level data access described in Section 2 is:

Legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR): Accessing your local network, photo library, and microphone permission is strictly necessary to provide the casting and mirroring functionality you have requested. This processing is proportionate and does not override your fundamental rights, since the data stays on your device and local network and is not transmitted to any server I control.

Since no personal data is collected or stored by me, most GDPR obligations (data retention, data breach notification, data processing agreements) do not apply in practice. However, I am committed to complying with applicable law.

6. Your Rights (EEA / GDPR)

As no personal data is stored by me, there is no personal data to access, correct, or delete on your behalf. However, you retain the following rights at all times:

Right to withdraw permissions: You can revoke Local Network, Photo Library, and Microphone permissions at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security.
Right to information: You may contact me at any time to ask what data, if any, is associated with your use of the app.

7. Data Retention

I do not store personal data on any server. All processing of device permissions occurs locally on your device and, where applicable, on your local network. When you uninstall the app, any locally cached preferences are permanently removed from your device.

8. Children's Privacy

This app is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in the EEA where applicable). I do not knowingly collect any information from children. If you believe a child has used this app and you have a concern, please contact me at ashvinbhajan@gmail.com.

9. Data Security

Since no personal data is transmitted to or stored on servers I control, there is no central data store at risk of breach. All casting traffic occurs over your private local Wi-Fi network.

10. International Users

This app is made available globally via the Apple App Store. No personal data is transferred internationally by me, as no personal data is collected by me. Third-party services (Apple, Google) operate under their own international data transfer frameworks.

11. Changes to This Policy

If I make material changes to this Privacy Policy, I will update the effective date at the top and publish the updated policy at this URL. Continued use of the app after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
